What we collect

Account details: your name, work email, company, role and the settings you choose. Your watch lists, the hauler lists you paste, labels, notes and the alerts and proof logs the Service creates. Messages you send us by email or the contact form. Basic server logs, such as IP address, browser, pages requested, the site that sent you and the haulers looked up, kept for security, troubleshooting, to see how visitors find the site and which lookups lead to watching a hauler. We don't use them for advertising.

Public records

The Service shows public records about motor carriers published by FMCSA and state agencies, including business names, addresses and contact details the carriers filed. We use them only to provide the Service, including an invitation a customer asks us to send to a carrier on its watch list. A carrier can stop all invitations with the link in any of them.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. Cookies: one keeps you signed in; a short-lived one carries a message to the next page; and if you arrive from an invitation, one remembers it for up to 30 days so sign-up can start with your own record. When you pay, Stripe's payment form sets its own cookies to prevent fraud.

Service providers

We use a few providers to run the Service: Amazon Web Services for hosting, Resend for email, Stripe for payments (we never see or store card numbers), and Google Fonts for the site's typefaces, which means your browser requests the fonts from Google. Each handles data only to provide its service.

How long we keep it

Account data stays while the account is open. When an account is deleted, we delete its data after 30 days, and it leaves our backups within the following 30 days. Blog subscriptions last until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can see and change your details in the account, export your data, unsubscribe from any email with one click, and delete the account. To ask about or correct your data, contact us.

Security

Sign-in uses one-time links and signed session cookies. The site is served over HTTPS. Access to production systems is limited to the people who run the Service.

Changes

If we change this notice in a material way, we'll email account owners before the change takes effect.
